The Cambridge School Srls is a well-established, busy English Language School based in Monopoli approximately 40 minutes South East of Bari and easily accessible from the two local airports of Bari and Brindisi. We also have schools in the towns of Polignano a Mare, Conversano and Turi the Schools all of which are located in the town centre so getting around is quite easy. Monopoli is a wonderful seaside town with a charming old town, beautiful beaches, fantastic weather and great food.

Our mission is to prepare students to communicate in all aspects of the English language. We accomplish this by working to high quality standards, paying attention to detail and enthusiasm for the profession. We provide a warm, friendly atmosphere for our students alike, which coupled with our expertise makes for an ideal environment to achieve important goals together. Best practices are promoted by the school and expected from its teaching staff in all areas of the profession.
We teach English to all ages, from pre-school to adults, and to all levels of the CEF A1-C2 . The school provides courses of General English, English for Tourism, Business English, ESP and IELTS and TOEFL preparation courses. We are a well-known and respected Cambridge exam preparation centre and also a Pearson examination centre. Our opening times are Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 10pm. In addition, we offer a service upon request on Saturdays.
Teacher development is assured through initial training, regular observations, feedback and workshops.
Due to a staff transfer, we are urgently looking to recruit a professional teacher to take on existing courses in our Monopoli and Conversano branch, predominantly in the afternoon/evening, teaching individuals and groups of adults, from pre-school children (age 3-5) primary school (age 6-10) and . Levels range from Starter to C1/CAE level.
Successfully screened candidates will then be required to respond to further questions via email regarding work experience after which a Skype interview will be arranged.

Qualifications

Important: applications which do not fulfill these requirements will not be considered. Minimum requirements Mother-tongue speaker University graduate
CELTA/TEFL teaching qualification (full-time course with real classroom teaching practice, no online or weekend courses).
All applicants MUST have the legal status to work in the European union. At least 2 years experience in an English language school teaching young learners and adults in groups and individually. Experience in Italy and some knowledge of the Italian language is an advantage.

The successful teacher will also possess excellent knowledge of English grammar who, with the aid of a core text book, will be able to plan and prepare interesting, engaging and above all, learner-centred, communicative lessons.

Salary and Benefits

Contract period: for the academic year 2019/2020 with possibility to remain for summer work and the subsequent academic year
1 Full-time position: 25 hours a week average
